Professional Code of Conduct

Welcome to KarBandhu. This Professional Code of Conduct establishes the standards of professionalism, ethics, and behaviour expected from every professional registered on the KarBandhu platform. Our goal is to create a trusted marketplace where customers receive reliable services and professionals can grow their businesses through honesty, quality, and mutual respect.
By registering as a professional on KarBandhu, you agree to comply with this Code of Conduct at all times while using the platform.
Professional Behaviour
Every professional is expected to conduct themselves honestly, respectfully, and professionally. You must treat every customer with courtesy, dignity, and fairness regardless of their background, religion, gender, age, or location. Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or offensive behaviour will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Accuracy of Information
Professionals must provide complete, accurate, and truthful information while creating and maintaining their profiles. This includes your qualifications, experience, certifications, pricing, business details, service descriptions, and contact information.
Providing false information, fake qualifications, forged documents, misleading advertisements, or exaggerated claims is strictly prohibited.
Service Quality
Professionals are expected to deliver services with reasonable care, skill, and professionalism. Every service should be performed in accordance with applicable laws, industry standards, and ethical practices.
Professionals should communicate clearly with customers regarding pricing, timelines, deliverables, limitations, and any additional costs before beginning work.
Timeliness
Professionals should respond to customer enquiries promptly and honour confirmed appointments whenever possible. If a delay or cancellation becomes unavoidable, customers should be informed immediately so that alternative arrangements can be considered.
Repeated delays, missed appointments, or cancellations without valid reasons may negatively affect your account status.
Customer Privacy
Professionals must respect the privacy and confidentiality of every customer. Personal information obtained through KarBandhu may only be used for providing the requested service.
Customer information must never be sold, shared, copied, or used for marketing purposes without the customer’s explicit consent.
Fair Pricing
Professionals should maintain transparent and reasonable pricing. Hidden charges, misleading quotations, false discounts, or attempts to exploit customers are prohibited.
Where prices are displayed on the platform, professionals should honour those prices unless both parties mutually agree to changes before work begins.
Communication Standards
Professionals should communicate politely, honestly, and professionally through all available communication channels, including phone calls, WhatsApp, email, and in-person interactions.
Harassment, abusive language, threats, spam, repeated unwanted communication, or inappropriate behaviour may result in disciplinary action.
Legal Compliance
Professionals are responsible for ensuring that they possess all licences, registrations, certifications, permits, and qualifications required under applicable laws to provide their services.
KarBandhu does not assume responsibility for a professional’s legal compliance.
Prohibited Activities
Professionals must not:
- Submit false or forged documents.
- Impersonate another individual or business.
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities.
- Mislead customers regarding qualifications or experience.
- Accept payments through deceptive practices.
- Damage the reputation of KarBandhu.
- Attempt to manipulate ratings or reviews.
- Use customer information for unauthorized purposes.
- Upload offensive, illegal, or copyrighted material without permission.
Ratings and Reviews
Customers are encouraged to provide honest reviews based on their actual experience. Professionals must never pressure customers to leave positive reviews or offer incentives in exchange for ratings.
Attempting to manipulate reviews or submit fake reviews may result in account suspension.
Conflicts and Disputes
If a disagreement arises between a customer and a professional, both parties are encouraged to communicate respectfully and attempt to resolve the matter amicably.
Where appropriate, KarBandhu may assist in facilitating communication or reviewing the matter. However, KarBandhu reserves the right to determine whether platform policies have been violated.
Suspension and Termination
KarBandhu reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate any professional account that violates this Code of Conduct, applicable laws, or any other KarBandhu policy.
Serious violations may result in immediate removal from the platform without prior notice.
Reporting Misconduct
Customers and professionals are encouraged to report any suspected fraud, abuse, misconduct, policy violations, or unethical behaviour through KarBandhu’s official support channels.
Every report will be reviewed fairly, confidentially, and in accordance with our internal procedures.
Changes to this Policy
KarBandhu may revise this Professional Code of Conduct from time to time to reflect changes in legal requirements, platform improvements, or operational needs. Updated versions will become effective immediately upon publication on this page.
