Customer Code of Conduct

Welcome to KarBandhu. This Customer Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behaviour expected from every customer using the KarBandhu platform. Our objective is to maintain a respectful, secure, and trustworthy environment where customers and professionals can interact confidently.

By creating an account or booking any service through KarBandhu, you agree to comply with this Code of Conduct.


Respectful Behaviour

Customers are expected to communicate politely and respectfully with professionals, customer support representatives, and other users. Harassment, abusive language, discrimination, threats, intimidation, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

KarBandhu believes in maintaining a safe and professional environment for everyone using the platform.


Accurate Information

Customers must provide accurate and up-to-date information while creating an account, booking services, or communicating with professionals. This includes your name, contact details, service location, and any other information necessary to complete the requested service.

Providing false information may result in cancellation of bookings or suspension of your account.


Booking Responsibilities

Before confirming a booking, customers should carefully review the professional’s profile, service description, pricing, availability, qualifications, and customer reviews.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the requested service, location, date, and contact information are correct before confirming a booking.


Payments

Customers agree to pay all applicable charges associated with booked services through approved payment methods where available.

Fraudulent payment methods, payment disputes initiated without valid reasons, chargeback abuse, or attempts to avoid legitimate payment obligations may result in account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.


Cancellations

If a customer needs to cancel or reschedule a booking, they should notify the professional as early as possible. Frequent cancellations without reasonable justification may negatively affect future bookings and may lead to temporary restrictions on the customer’s account.

Cancellation and refund requests are governed by the KarBandhu Refund & Cancellation Policy.


Fair Reviews

Customers are encouraged to provide honest, accurate, and constructive reviews based on their actual service experience.

Reviews should not contain abusive language, personal attacks, false allegations, defamatory statements, or misleading information.

Customers must not demand discounts, refunds, or additional services in exchange for changing or removing reviews.


Privacy of Professionals

Customers must respect the privacy of professionals. Personal information shared during the course of a booking should only be used for communication relating to the requested service.

Customers must not misuse a professional’s contact details for spam, harassment, marketing, or any unauthorized purpose.


Prohibited Activities

Customers must not:

  • Provide false identity or fake contact information.
  • Use stolen or unauthorized payment methods.
  • Harass or threaten professionals.
  • Submit false complaints or fraudulent refund requests.
  • Attempt to manipulate ratings or reviews.
  • Upload unlawful, offensive, or copyrighted content without permission.
  • Use the platform for illegal activities.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website or other user accounts.

Violation of these rules may result in suspension or permanent termination of the customer account.


Safety

Customers should always exercise reasonable caution when arranging in-person services. While KarBandhu makes efforts to verify professionals, customers are encouraged to communicate clearly, verify appointment details, and report any suspicious activity immediately.


Dispute Resolution

If a disagreement arises between a customer and a professional, both parties should first attempt to resolve the issue respectfully through direct communication.

Where appropriate, KarBandhu may review the available information and assist in facilitating a fair resolution. However, KarBandhu reserves the right to make decisions regarding violations of platform policies.


Account Suspension

KarBandhu reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate any customer account that violates this Code of Conduct, applicable laws, or any other KarBandhu policy.

Serious or repeated violations may result in immediate removal from the platform without prior notice.


Reporting Concerns

Customers are encouraged to report any suspected fraud, misconduct, policy violations, safety concerns, or unethical behaviour through KarBandhu’s official support channels.

All reports will be reviewed fairly and confidentially.


Changes to this Policy

KarBandhu may update this Customer Code of Conduct from time to time to reflect legal requirements, operational improvements, or platform enhancements. Updated versions will become effective immediately upon publication on this page.
